This article is one of the most successful marketing campaigns in the world - the French red wine, comes just in time for Thanksgiving, Beaujolais Nouveau. This wine is released for sale shortly after the stroke of midnight on the third Thursday in November. Be sold within 24 hours over one million cases. Next year, consumers buy in the world, probably more than 65 million bottles. If things work on schedule more than 4 million bottlesexported to the U.S. and 7 million in Japan and Germany. On the other hand millions of bottles of the production of last year, was destroyed before the release of the 2007 harvest.
Let me check a few tidbits of information from what may be one of the best wines of the Beaujolais Nouveau. This wine is made from specially designated areas (municipalities) in the Beaujolais region of southeastern France. As the un-villaged cousin, it is from the Gamay grape, which was madethe world kicked known, neighboring Burgundy region in 1395th French legislation requires that all grapes are picked by hand in the Beaujolais region. Champagne is the only other French region that forbids mechanical harvesting. While Beaujolais Nouveau was first regulated in 1938, it goes back to ancient times, in which a similar wine made for slaves. History does not record their reaction. Let's take a look at mine.
Before reviewing the Beaujolais-VillagesPurchased Nouveau wine and imported cheeses that we are at a local wine store and a local imported food store, here are a few suggestions on what to eat with this wine:
Start with Torchon au Foie Gras (foie gras) in a dish towel.
For your second course enjoy de Dinde Roti (Roast Turkey).
And for dessert, you can) with pommes au four (Oven-baked apples.

Wine Georges Duboeuf Beaujolais-Villages rated 2007 12.2% over $ 16
I bought this bottle a few days after the publication of the 2007 Beaujolais Nouveau (November 15, 2007) together with a plebeian French and Italian with Vino Novello (new wine), a very similar Italian rendition. In the hope that what I am is not a change in policy my supplier provided no marketing materials. Here are some comments from another supplier with more than oneBargain for the unusually complex '07 Georges Duboeuf Beaujolais-Villages exhibits combined aromas and flavors of ripe tropical fruits and sweet earth. And now my reactions.
My first pairing of wine were involved, a combination of honey, garlic and paprika coated barbecued chicken thighs with skin, chicken fat fried potatoes that melt in your mouth, and Moroccan carrots. The wine refreshingly cut the fat with its mild acidity. The dominant fruitblack cherries. The Beaujolais region and was more powerful in dealing with the sour spicy carrots.
The next meal consisted of an omelette with a mild, non-imported white cheese. The wine was full, especially at the beginning, but later became weaker. There was a moderate length. The dominant flavor was black cherry, but I have taste of chewing gum.
Then I tried this wine with beef stew and potatoes. I tried some fruit and even a little tobacco. The Beaujolais --Villages Nouveau was mildly acidic and fairly short. Dessert was homemade sesame and sunflower seed cookies coated in homemade Concord grape jelly. I do not have the cookies or the jelly, but I myself raised the Concord grape. This year's crop was bountiful, and if I dare to say, delicious. Needless to say, I have not tried to make wine from them. Anyway, the wine was considerably less fruity than the jelly. As always, I can not blame the wine for unorthodoxPairings that do not succeed, but I just had to try my grapes.
The first cheese was a French goat cheese from the developing Poitou-Charentes region of central western France, which begin ammonia. The cheese and wine do not really blend. The wine became more generic. Then I went to a delicate, nutty-flavored German Emmentaler (Swiss-type) has seen that better times. The wine was still fruity, but nothing to stop the presses.
Final verdict. Can? guess It's happened before, and it happened again. The Beaujolais Nouveau is not easy to justify the price. I can not say that I was surprised, and I think I gave it a fair chance. Frankly, if you want, Beaujolais, and why not, you're better off with one that is not Nouveau. Comments, why not secretly in such a Beaujolais Beaujolais Nouveau in your party and see which one people like best?
