The rooms are small, because this is a bathroom. The kitchen is fully equipped. The living area has space for anfull-size sofa and two large chairs and table and chairs. A playground and a private catch and release pond additional activities. Two ranch houses that accommodate up to 16, are available for larger groups.
Greer Lodge offers cabins and housekeeping. The luxuriously appointed rooms in the main house are only for adults. 373 Grill, which is on site restaurant and lounge, family and cowboy comfortable. La Ventana, the local restaurant offers a candle lit dining room, washed in bright colors desert. The atmosphere is elegant but not stuffy. Diners Munch on complimentary crusty bread with dipping sauce of olive oil, balsamic vinegar, herbs and Parmesan cheese. Starters include aroasted tomato soup with a hint of basil. The creamy soup with bits of onion and fresh tomatoes textured. The salad of baby greens and candied walnuts with a raspberry vinaigrette dropped sharply. The Rib-Eye is on the outside, tender and perfectly spiced seared.
Do not forget the pancakes at the Rendezvous Diner, swimming in melted butter and syrup, accompanied by smoky bacon crisp, and a never empty cup of coffee. The day will rise to a good start. Molly ButlerLodge offers lunch baskets in the summer months, try their sourdough burger, after a morning hike.
Food and other items can be picked up at the Tin Star Trading Post. Together with a special blend coffee, visitors can walk through the molten glass jewelry offered by a local craftsman with Hopi, Zuni, Cherokee and other Native American silver jewelry. Curiosities to be found, T-shirts, and some antiques can be found on the Quaker barrel. The little shop looking from the outsidebut that's deceptive. There are hiking trails throughout the region in the Apache-Sitgreaves National Forest. The Government Springs Trail is not an official Forest Service trail, but it is an easy hike along the west fork of the Little Colorado. Fishing is a popular pastime in the three major lakes on Greer: Bunch Reservoir, Tunnel Reservoir and River Reservoir. River is the largest reservoir at approximately 120 hectares.
